Alexandra Salomon is a veteran in online advertising, interactive marketing, digital publishing/media, and international business.
Alexandra just joined the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) to head up all things international, including operations, communications, and marketing. Alexandra has recently been working with online starts-ups in daily deals and advertising on their global marketing strategy, canpaigns and tactics.
Alexandra’s experience includes leading international marketing at LivingSocial; consulting for Disney Publishing on global strategy and development of digital media, including the launch of 4 international iPad application; running international marketing and operations for Zinio; managing global sales development at Yahoo: b2b advertising, product monetization, and trade marketing events; and leading international product strategy, country launches, and new development for Overture (Yahoo Search Marketing).
Alexandra started out in the early Internet years working for AOL. At the end of her long tenure there, she oversaw global alliances, training and development for over a dozen countries, and international & US Hispanic interactive marketing. During her years there, she worked with over a hundred advertising clients and agencies including eBay, Philips, Coca-Cola, Travelocity, Monster, Schwab, Toyota, Carat and Dentsu.
Alexandra grew up in Europe, speaks French, Russian and some Spanish, holds a BA in International Affairs and an MBA in International Trade and Finance.
